What is Stress? 

The pressure or tension exerted on a material object.

What is Injury?

Harm or damage that is done or 

sustained.

The symptoms of stress are broken into 3 categories:

  1. Physiological – Increased Heart Rate, Sweaty Hands, Muscle Tension

  2. Cognitive – Perceptual Changes, Decision Making, Memory, Response Selection

  3. Emotional – Violence, Withdrawal from the sporting situation, Anger

The most common sports injuries are:

  1. Ankle sprain

  2. Groin pull

  3. Hamstring strain

  4. Shin splints

  5. Knee injury: ACL tear

  6. Concussions
